Amazing how Microsoft loves to shove things down our throats like Windows Vista!

No wonder so many are jumping ship to buy Apple computers.

No wonder it has an option to downgrade to the previous version.

No wonder Microsoft had to reduce the retail price of Vista.

No wonder Dell had to start re-selling systems that allowed XP as an option.

No wonder there is a class action lawsuit against Microsoft for “Windows Vista Capable”.

But in case you still don’t know why Microsoft Vista sucks…

Here are 7 reasons:

  1. Bloat ware. Six years is a long time to develop software. I think they used it to insert every useless code they could find.
  2. Performance sucks. What a joke to have 1GB of RAM and Vista still takes 10 minutes to start up.
  3. Security dialog box. What a pain in the a.. to have to verify the installation and running of every program you have.
  4. Hardware incompatibility issues. Don’t bet on all your hardware to run on Vista.
  5. Wifi connection issues. Microsoft won’t admit it’s a software issue, but I have had techs tell me exactly that.
  6. Even senior Microsoft officials and board members complain. Ok, if insiders complain….
  7. It’s Microsoft. ‘Nuff said…

    1. Vista is filled with great apps.
    2. No-one said it would run well on 1GB so get more RAM it costs nothing.
    3. Turn off UAC
    4. Most hardware is now compatible- every new OS has compatibility issues.
    5. No Wifi issues on any of my Vista machines- upgrade your router firmware.
    6. Vista is out deal with it. If you don’t like it use something else. Grow up and stop bitching on the web- your opinion isn’t valid.

    Amen, brother!

“Six years is a long time to develop software. I think they used it to insert every useless code they could find.”

You hit it on the button with that remark. I’ve given up on Microsoft. I think they’re in cahoots with the government, to provide a back door for surveillance. The same happened with Ma Bell, the telephone company.

Trouble is, Linux isn’t quite there yet as a user friendly OS and Apple is still price prohibitive for most folks. So I just stick with reliable XP. Besides, all my peripherals are set up for XP so why change?
